Fog Catcher

Tyvek sheets of high-density polyethylene fibre are precision-slotted and expanded into a zero-waste membrane that folds down compactly for transport. A fine nylon mesh bonded to the Tyvek encourages condensation as fog passes through, channelling droplets into a filtration unit.

The assembly mounts onto a collapsible bamboo framework borrowed from umbrella mechanics, so deployment reads as twist, stabilise, deploy — intuitive enough to matter at a remote site.

The approach draws on panelised systems work at LIM Living, where assembly time dropped 20 percent, and on Grasshopper workflows at Volume Industries that cut material waste by 15 percent.
