Facade integration
A prefabricated louver facade whose every panel turns to a different angle, solved parametrically for shade and daylight.
The facade balances daylighting against solar control through a single continuous pattern of prefabricated panels. Rather than fixing every louver at one uniform angle, a parametric algorithm varies each panel’s orientation to optimise shading and diffuse the ambient light.
That modulation cuts glare and heat gain, and it also does the elevation’s aesthetic work — the flowing pattern is the building’s civic face rather than a screen applied over one.
The panels are fabricated entirely off site and installed as a cohesive envelope, so the computational design resolves into something straightforwardly buildable.
