Geodesic gridshell

A double-curved carbon-fiber gridshell prototype for temporary installations, built to come apart again.

The shell is crafted from carbon-fiber laths arranged in a diagrid, which makes the canopy light and rigid at once. Two overlapping lath layers meet at single-bolt grommet connections, and a custom perimeter detail anchors the structure.

Every connector fitting was 3D-printed in carbon-fiber-infused nylon, which is what lets assembly and disassembly stay quick — the piece is meant to be put up, taken down and put up again.

It is an experimental take on gridshell design: precision engineering resolved into rapid, modular construction.
